Anti Wrinkle Injections

Fit for Life Facial Aesthetics specialises in anti wrinkle treatments using Botox® injections which are the most popular non-invasive cosmetic treatment in the UK.

Our anti wrinkle treatments are suitable for almost anyone who has a desire to enhance their appearance. Lines and wrinkles are unfortunately just a natural sign of ageing but can also develop through exposure to the sun and as a consequence of frowning.

Botox ® is a prescribed medication extracted from a toxin produced by the bacterium Clostridium Botulinum. This toxin relaxes the muscle it is injected into and therefore reduces the wrinkles. As we move our facial muscles, lines develop and become deeper over time.

Regular treatments improves the appearance of the lines and smooths the skin. It trains the muscle memory not to frown at rest even when the Botox ® has worn off, which usually takes three to four months. Most clients benefit from Botox two to three times a year.

Some of the areas which benefit from Fit for Life Facial Aesthetics anti wrinkle treatments include:

  • Frown lines
  • Glabella lines i.e. lines between eye brows
  • Crows feet i.e. lines around eyes
  • Chin lines
  • Neck (Nerfertiti lift)
  • Excessive sweating (Hyperhidrosis)

Fit for Life Facial Asthetics was founded on the principle that everything we do should revolve around you the client. This means all our decisions are informed by what’s best for you. Your safety and what treatment will give you the best results are our most important considerations.

How safe is BOTOX®?

Despite popular belief by many Botulinum toxin type A (many will know this as the popular BOTOX® brand), this prescription-only drug remains one of the most widely researched with considerable evidence to support its use both medicinally and cosmetically all over the world, used in young and old. It also has FDA approval for use in cosmetic medicine.

I’ve heard that I cannot have this treatment because I am pregnant? Is this true?

Yes! There is no evidence to support the safe use of BOTOX® in women who are trying to conceive, pregnant or breastfeeding. Certain antibiotics and existing neuromuscular conditions would also deem an individual unsuitable for treatment. This is fully discussed at the time of consultation.

Is there anything that I need to avoid after treatment?

It is important to avoid rubbing the area that’s been injected for the first few hours, certainly to withhold any beauty treatments such as a facial as this may encourage the product to spread away from the target muscle which could result in a temporary ‘droop.’ Remaining in an upright position for the first few hours also helps to reduce this risk.

Which lines may I have treated with BOTOX®?

BOTOX® can be used to treat many lines on the face, a wholly versatile product which can treat fine lines around the mouth, the neck, improve the definition of the jawline as well as the more commonly treated areas on the upper face. Results may take from 2-14 days to show the final results from the single treatment, occasionally a dose adjustment may be necessary which is included in the price, there is no additional cost for this.
