Steven is the clinical director and lead physiotherapist at Fit for Life NI which opened in September 2013. He is a Chartered Physiotherapist, registered with all major health insurance companies and is a member of the Health and Care Professionals Council.
He specialises in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and the services on offer at the clinic have developed from his specialist interests in the fields of orthopaedic medicine, sport and exercise rehabilitation, acupuncture, sports massage and myofascial release.
Previously Steven spent a number of years working in the private sector in East Belfast as well working extensively with local sporting teams in rugby (schools cup level), cricket (interprovincial) and hockey (international). He remains a consultant physiotherapist to Ulster Hockey where he has developed, implemented and overseen the introduction of injury prevention and strength and conditioning protocols.
Lindsay is a fully accredited sports massage therapist with many years experience in all aspects of soft tissue therapy. He specialises in deep tissue massage and sports recovery massage. She is an aspiring physiotherapist and has previously worked in a local chiropractic clinic.
Gillian is a specialist dietitian with 22 years experience in all aspects of nutrition and health. She is a registered member of the British Dietetic Association and The Health and Care Professions Council.
Gillian grew up and studied in London before moving to Northern Ireland. After starting a family Gillian decided to set up her dietetic consultancy service to be able to blend her wealth of knowledge with family life. She herself has had Hashimoto’s, an autoimmune thyroid condition that she successfully put into remission nutritionally. Gillian considers herself to be a scientist, mother, food experimenter, dog walker and loves to cook and run when free.
Gillian now specialises in fixing people from cellular level up, especially focused on chronic ill health, resistant weight loss, gastrointestinal imbalance. Her work not only assists the man on the street but also assists athletes in optimisation of health alongside the corporate work force for increased productivity.
Dr McGregor is our in house fascial aesthetics expert. She specialises in fascial anti wrinkle injections and runs a monthly clinic in our treatment rooms.
Jonny specialises in exercise physiology and has worked with high performance athletes for over 15 years, performing strength & conditioning, performance analysis and sports science support to manage physical loads and optimising recovery in professional sports.
Previously, Jonny worked for Ulster Rugby, Sports Institute of Northern Ireland and The Rugby Football Union and has been working as a Sport Science Consultant since 2012, providing a variety of performance services for Premier League Teams, International Rugby Union sides and European Tour Golfers.
Since 2015, Jonny has developed a Wellness Programme for Organisations which seeks to enhance physical and mental wellbeing through a process of diagnostics, consultation, intervention and coaching. He has been working within Healthcare, Transport, Construction, IT, Finance, Fire and Policing sectors in Northern Ireland, supporting key staff to manage fatigue, increase wellbeing and boost engagement & productivity for enhancing business performance.
